New Delhi, Sep 12 (Inditop.com) Designer Rohit Bal’s flamboyance was mixed with a bit of naughtiness at the Van Heusen India Mens Week (VHIMW) as he got the male models to dance on the ramp in their bathing robes and boxers.

At the finale of Bal’s show late Friday, as soon as the popular song “Dan Te Nan” from “Kaminey” played out, the designer came onto the ramp and started dancing – and was joined by all the male models.

Some took off their robes and danced away to glory while others matched their steps with Bal in their boxers. The audience loved this male bonding and models preened at all the attention – after all, ramp modelling has largely been a female bastion.

The “Badmaash” collection depicted the naughty and flirtatious nature of a man and was about celebrating life in a wicked manner.

“The collection is very moody, vivacious, and self-obsessive. It revolves around the theme – I, me and myself,” Bal told reporters after the show.

The silhouettes ranged from old French to modern India and had everything from long kurtas, waistcoats, clown pants, slim-fit trousers, suits and sherwanis in hues of grape, sage, bordeaux, plum, flame and rust.

The outfits were accessorised very well with velvet caps, big bags, shoes with a bow and scarves draped around the neck in the manner of a bow.

The show started in dramatic style with models faulting their chiseled torsos and neat legs. As retro king Elvis Presly’s “Are you lonesome tonight” played in the background, models managed to grab eyeballs with their sensual and lazy poses that exposed the flirty side of a man.
