Canberra, May 18 (IANS) Australian education group Vocation on Monday revoked qualifications of 1,100 of its students from 2014, according to media reports.
The education company announced that it has revoked the qualifications in the areas of first aid, aged care and children’s services, business administration and competitive systems and practices, because the quality of training provided to the students was not up to mark.
Vocation will also repay A$8 million (around $6 million) to the Victoria state’s education and training department over the next 18 months, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
“It’s obviously disappointing but it’s part of the game plan that was needed to reset the business,” Stewart Cummins, chief executive of Vocation, said on Monday.
The students would be able to re-enrol with other education providers and claim credit for parts of their courses, added Cummins.
