Los Angeles, May 23 (IANS) “The Hangover” star Ken Jeong, who is set to entertain Indian audience with his role of Mr. Arthur, a high school teacher, in teen comedy film “The Duff”, says his character will be different from his previous works.

Mr. Arthur is a journalism teacher in Malloy High School, and a mentor/surrogate father to Bianca (Mae Whitman), whose real father is absent following a divorce from her mother Dottie.
Talking about his role in “The Duff”, Jeong, who came into limelight through naked act in “The Hangover”, said in a statement: “I don’t jump out of a trunk naked in this one. My character sees the potential in Bianca. He challenges her, pushes her and even scolds her.
“He is a good coach and mentor who knows that she can handle the challenges so he challenges her even more.”
Ari Sandel, the director of “The Duff”, has been a fan of Jeong since a long time. His interest in Jeong for the lead role actually happened even before he shot to fame with the “Hangover” series.
“Well it had to be Ken. I have been seeing this amazingly talented guy ever since I was a kid. Ken has given some power packed performances in the past that would make you think you will die laughing,” Sandel said.
Jeong has also appeared in films like “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”, “Pain & Gain”, “Despicable” and “Turbo”.
“The Duff” will release in India on June 5.
