Mumbai, June 10 (IANS) A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Wednesday surges 183.75 points or 0.69 percent during the morning session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 58.85 points or 0.73 percent up at 8,081.25 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 26,517.32 points, was trading at 26,665 points (at 9.20 a.m.) in the early session, up 183.75 points or 0.69 percent from the previous day’s close at 26,481.25 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 26,692.95 points and a low of 26,493.29 points in the trade so far.
All the sectors were trading in green. The rally was led by realty, consumer durables, capital goods and healthcare sectors.
