Cologne, July 5 (IANS) Serbian international footballer Milos Jojic has agreed on a transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Bundesliga rivals Cologne, both clubs confirmed on Sunday.

The 23-year-old midfielder inked a four-year deal which keeps him with the ‘Billygoats’ until June 2019. The new arrival received jersey No.8, reports Xinhua.
“I am very glad that Milos Jojic opted for a transfer to us. During the talks it quickly turned out that he brings everything to fit into our team. Milos will be a new and versatile option for our offence,” Cologne head coach Peter Stoeger said.
Jojic joined Borussia Dortmund in January 2014 from Serbian outfit Partizan Belgrade. However, the midfielder never made the breakthrough into the first team at the ‘BVB’. He made overall 20 Bundesliga and five Champions League appearances for the eight-time German champions.
“Milos Jojic is a talented player who already proved himself on a high level despite his young age,” Cologne CEO Joerg Schmadtke said.
The ‘Billygoats’ completed last season in 12th place. They encounter Stuttgart in their season opener on August 15.
Besides signing Jojic, Cologne announced that they wouldn’t sign Schalke defender Felipe Santana as the Brazilian failed the medical due to a calf injury.
