Jammu, July 5 (IANS) Pakistan Rangers on Sunday once again violated the bilateral ceasefire, opening unprovoked firing at Indian positions on the international border in Jammu district, an official said.
“Pakistan Rangers opened unprovoked firing at Border Security Force (BSF) positions on the international border in Arnia area of R.S. Pura sector today (Sunday) evening,” a police officer told IANS here.
The Pakistani firing — with small arms and automatic weapons — started at 7.25 p.m., the officer said.
The BSF “effectively retaliated” the Pakistani firing. There was no casualty or damage on the Indian side.
