Berlin, July 10 (IANS) A gunman, who killed two people in Ansbach, a town 40 km southwest of the German city of Nuremberg, on Friday might have had psychological abnormalities, German media reported.
The armed man shot dead an 82-year-old woman and a 72-year-old cyclist on Friday morning while driving into nearby Rammersdorf, before he was caught at a gas station, Bayerischer Rundfunk radio reported, citing local police.
The gunman continued his rampage and shot at a farmer and another motorist. However, both were uninjured, police said.
At around 2.30 p.m., police and prosecutors held a press conference at the Ansbach district administrative office, Xinhua news agency reported.
A spokesman said the offender had consulted a psychiatrist in the past.
