New Delhi, July 20 (IANS) Hockey India (HI) members Mariamma Koshy, R.P. Singh and Elena Norman were on Monday appointed committee members of the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF).

Koshy as Member Women in Hockey Committee, R.P. Singh as Member Athlete Committee and Norman as Member Competition Committee will serve for three years effective from March 28.
“HI is immensely elated as we have three more representatives from India as Committee Members of the AHF. The objective of the federation is to take Asian hockey to the next level and I am sure that the members will live up to the expectations and make us proud. I, on behalf of HI, congratulate them and look forward to their successful term at AHF,” HI secretary general Mohd. Mushtaque Ahmad said.
Koshy, is a former state level player. She is currently HI senior vice-president and was previously the president until October 2014.
R.P. Singh, HI athlete representative, is also a selector. He is a former international player and represented India in the 1986 and 1990 World Cups.
Norman is HI’s Chief Executive Officer and has been associated with the body for more than four years.
