New Delhi, July 20 (IANS) Rain ensured a pleasant Monday in Delhi, and more showers, accompanied by thunderstorms, will continue to lash the national capital on Tuesday, the Met Office said.

The city received 4 mm of rainfall between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on Monday, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
“The sky will remain cloudy through the day tomorrow (Tuesday) and the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 33 and 24 degrees Celsius,” said the IMD official.
Monday morning was pleasant as heavy rain lashed Delhi and the minimum temperature settled at 24.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season’s average. The day’s maximum temperature was recorded a notch below the season’s average at 33.2 degrees Ceslius.
The day’s maximum humidity was recorded at 95 percent.
The city has received 220.9 mm of rainfall since July 1.
Saturday’s maximum temperature settled two notches above the season’s average at 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled slightly below the season’s average at 26 degrees Celsius.
