Mumbai, July 21 (IANS) With an eclectic mix of designers weaving cutting edge fashion with creativity, the winter/festive edition of Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) 2015 will showcase 32 designers for the Emerging and Jabong Stage categories here.

There will be 14 designers presenting their fashion skills in the Emerging category, while 18 will give a glimpse of their talent in the Jabong Stage category.
Along with style gurus like Arpita Mehta and Ridhi Mehra from metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai, the talent has been escorted from other parts of India like Goa, Hyderabad and Jaipur with names like Anushree Reddy, Stephany Dsouza and Swati Vijaivargie.
The Jabong Stage category will also exhibit a myriad of designers with Priyam Narayan from New Delhi, Arunima Majhi from Mumbai and Divya Reddy from Hyderabad.
The five-day fashion gala will be held here from August 26. And Jabong stage has found a new home at the Pallazio room with an international format, it will feature a 66-feet-long runway surface that is modular.
Saket Dhankar, vice president and head-fashion, IMG Reliance, feels the new look of the Jabong stage will help attract more business.
“The Jabong stage is rechristened as the new and second main show area at Lakmé Fashion Week, it will lead the thinking not just from a design perspective but will also be addressing to the requirements of fueling the business of fashion,” Dhankar said in a statement.
The Emerging design talent will also be proposing intensive commercial presentations to buyers, reinforcing business of fashion at Lakmé Fashion Week.
