Munich, July 23 (IANS) German giants Bayern Munich confirmed on Thursday they have reached an agreement with Italian champions Juventus to sign Chile international Arturo Vidal.
The announcement was made by the German club’s CEO Karl Heinz Rummenigge on social networking Twitter.
“Rummenigge confirms an agreement has been reached with Juventus and the player,” Bayern’s official English Twitter handle said.
Bayern Munich are currently in China as part of their pre-season tour.
Rummenigge also dismissed rumours that German international Thomas Muller is planning to follow his club and country team-mate Bastian Schweinsteiger with a move to English giants Manchester United.
Midfielder Schweinsteiger earlier left Bayern for United in a deal worth 15 million pounds.
Reports suggest United are luring the striker with a 70.5 million pound bid.
But Rummenigge on Thursday said Muller is priceless.
“There are some players who just don’t have any price tag,” Rummenigge said.
“We would be out of our minds to sell Muller.”
