New Delhi, Jan 25 (IANS) Born to Sikh Punjabi parents, Karenjit Kaur Vohra, popular worldwide as Sunny Leone, says she wants to act in a Punjabi movie.

Asked if she’d like to have a deeper connect to her roots by working in a Punjabi film, Sunny told IANS: “Of course! If I had that one Punjabi movie, all my Punjabi (language skills) would come back.”
The actress, who first found visibility as an Indo-Canadian adult film star, made her Bollywood debut in the 2012 film “Jism 2”.
She says she understands the Punjabi language, but has nobody to “practice” with regularly.
“I understand Punjabi, but I don’t have anybody to practice it with on a regular basis. I wish I did. So If I ever get a story that I really like, then yes, of course (I’d love to do a Punjabi film),” she added.
Sunny, who was last seen on the big screen in the 2015 film “Kuch Kuch Locha Hai”, is currently waiting for the release of her forthcoming sex comedy “Mastizaade”. She will be seen playing a double role for the first time.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film, which will release on Friday, also stars actors Vir Das and Tusshar Kapoor.
