Bengaluru, Jan 27 (IANS) State-run Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) has posted Rs.296 crore net profit for the third quarter (October-December) of this fiscal (2015-16), registering 8.8 percent growth over the like period a year ago from Rs.272 crore.
In a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the city-based defence behemoth said consolidated income for the quarter under review (Q2) declined four percent to Rs.1,653 crore from Rs.1,722 in the same period year ago.
On standalone basis too, net sales declined 5.1 percent year-on-year to Rs.1,500 crore from Rs.1,582 crore year ago though operational profit is up 4.6 percent to Rs.251 crore from Rs.240 crore year ago.
