Hyderabad, Jan 30 (IANS) Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Friday asked the BJP and the RSS not to impose their ideas on students and called for a law against discrimination at universities.

“There is massive discrimination in institutions of different kind. You (Modi) don’t look into the possibilites of law but the students do. I have a suggestion for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Look into the possibilities of passing a law against discrimination at universities,” Gandhi, who joined the protest at the University of Hyderabad over the suicide of a Dalit research scholar
Hitting out at the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, he accused them of forcing one idea on the students.

“My main opposition to Modiji and RSS is that they are trying to crush spirit of Indian youngsters by imposing one idea from on top. Don’t force one idea on students,” he said.
“Please put your idea in the market place of ideas and then if students accept that idea, I am fine with it,” he added.
