Bhopal, Sep 20 (Inditop.com) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has written to his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Mayawati for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the death of a state official in Agra, official sources said Sunday.
The body of Bhopal Development Authority chief executive officer M.G. Rusia was found near Agra railway station Sep 10.
“Since the incident took place in Agra in Uttar Pradesh, the CBI could take up the case only after a request from the Uttar Pradesh government. A CBI inquiry will be appropriate in view of a request by the deceased’s family and also because of involvement of more than one state government in the probe,” Chouhan said in his letter sent Saturday.
Rusia went missing while returning from Delhi by the Bhopal Express.
His body was found the following day beside railway tracks near Agra station. Rusia had gone to the capital along with Huzur constituency legislator Jitendra Daga.
