New Delhi: The Nathpa Jhakri hydropower project in Himachal Pradesh, run by the state-owned Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (SJVNL), surpassed generation of 5,000 million units of electricity Sep 21, the company said Tuesday.
“This record power generation has been achieved 15 days ahead as compared to last year,” SJVNL said in a statement.
According to SJVNL, this record generation is due to excellent management of silt, water and machines both in terms of operation and maintenance of the hydropower station.
