New Delhi, Oct 9 (Inditop.com) Four men were arrested in the capital while trying to sell bronze sheets, with inscriptions of Quran, worth Rs.2 crore (Rs.20 million), police said Friday.

Shakeel Ahmed, Imtiaz, Afaq Ahmed and Hamid were arrested late Thursday while trying to sell the bronze sheets near the Indira Gandhi Indoor sports stadium in central Delhi, a police official said.

“Twenty-four bronze sheets with inscription of Quaran were found in their possession. The men could not justify possession of the antiques,” the official said.

The Archaeological Survey of India has confirmed that all 24 pieces are genuine.
