Kolkata, Oct 14 (Inditop.com) Infrastructure development firm Subhash Projects has bagged an order worth Rs.211.95 crore from Uttar Pradesh for setting up a sewage network in Kanpur on a turnkey basis, the company said in a statement here Wednesday.

The project is a part of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission — a central government initiative aimed at hastening development in some cities.

The contract, which will also involve construction of a sewage treatment plant, was awarded by the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam, a government utility entrusted with the task of developing and regulating water supply and sewerage services in the state.

The project work would include conducting surveys, soil testing, design, supply and construction, installation and commissioning of a 130-km-long sewage network, the statement said.
