Bhubaneswar, Oct 21 (Inditop.com) Two Maoist guerrillas were Wednesday arrested in Orissa’s Rayagada district, police said.

Narasimha Mambalik alias Shyam and Suresh Mambalik alias Subhas were arrested from Gudari village in Rayagada, about 390 km from state capital Bhubaneswar.

They had committed several crimes after joining a local Maoist outfit in 2004. “These included attack on a police post and triggering a blast in a liquor shop,” Rayagada Superintendent of Police A.K. Singh told Inditop.

Maoists are active in more than half of the state’s 30 districts.
