Mumbai, April 16 (Inditop) Indian equities markets were witnessing a choppy trade about an hour before end of trade Thursday, with a key index losing 0.91 percent from its previous close.
The 30-scrip Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensitive index (Sensex), which opened at 11,358.06 points, was down 103.02 points or 0.91 percent and ruling at 11,181.71 points.
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), lost 1.4 percent from the previous close to rule at 3,435.25 points.
The BSE midcap index lost 2.03 percent, while the BSE smallcap index was down 2.15 percent.
