New Delhi, Nov 11 (Inditop.com) Engineering and construction group Punj Lloyd Wednesday announced a major restructuring in its operations.
The company Wednesday said it will decentralise its operations in various regions to empower the regional heads to meet the set targets.
In the new structure, energy, which has been a key focus area of the group, will have two independent operating entities.
The South Asia operations, including offshore and LNG global verticals, will be headed by P.K. Gupta, one of the directors, while company president Ravindra Kansal and chief operating officer Atul Jain will jointly head the energy operations in the Middle East, Africa and Commonwealth of Independent States region.
In the infrastructure segment, Sembawang Engineers and Constructors (SEC) will continue to operate as a separate entity with Ric Grosvenor as its president and chief executive.
Grosvenor will also lead the operations of Sembawang UAE, a wholly owned subsidiary of SEC.
Building and Infrastructure India, another group firm, will be headed by B.S. Kapur.
Sanjay Goel will continue as the head of PL Engineering (erstwhile Simon Carves India), which will provide design and engineering expertise not just to Punj Lloyd but also to clients in oil and gas, automotive, aviation and other sectors.
“We have achieved a very significant annual growth rate of over 50 percent in the last few years and this restructuring is a major initiative to sustain high growth through empowerment with greater focus on profitability and accountability,” Punj Lloyd chairman Atul Punj said.
