Kabul, Nov 20 (Inditop.com) Thirteen people were killed and 47 wounded Friday in a suicide bombing in Afghanistan’s Farah province, an official said.
Provincial governor Rohul Amin said the wounded are being treated in a hospital of the NATO provincial reconstruction team and 15 of the injured were in a critical condition.
The attack targeted a police checkpoint near his office, Xinhua news agency quoted him as saying.
The blast occurred at 9 a.m., when the suicide bomber rode a motor cycle and blew himself up in a market near the governor’s office.
In a separate incident, three civilians were killed and three injured when their car was hit by a roadside bomb in Khost city in eastern Afghanistan, police said.
The attacks came a day after Hamid Karzai was sworn in for a second five-year term as the Afghan president.
