New Delhi, Dec 3 (Inditop.com) Parthiv Sureshwaren, the rookie driver of A1GP Team India, has sealed a deal to race in the all-new Formula Two Championship.
Parthiv will join the list of drivers who will contest the two-day Formula Two winter test in Valencia on December 3-4. Parthiv will be the second Indian to participate in the FIA Formula Two, a platform for young drivers to compete in the highest tiers of motorsport.
Chennai-born Parthiv is a graduate from the Silverstone Racing School in England.
His first tryst with success came in 1998, when he was just 17-year-old and won the Indian National Championship for the Esteem Saloon Cars. The next year Parthiv went on to win 8 out of the 10 races in the Indian National Formula Maruti Championship, while also participating in the British Formula Ford Winter Series. He won the overall 2nd and rookie of the year at the Formula Asia Championship.
Parthiv also successfully participated in the British Formula 3 championship and the Barber Dodge Pro Series in the USA.
Parthiv has also extensively participated in the rookie sessions and some of the Sunday races for A1 Team India since the inception of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, alongside Indian racing legend, Narain Karthikeyan.
