Kolkata, Dec 17 (Inditop.com) Abhinav Lohan and Manav Das, representing Haryana A, returned the best cards of the day to join overnight leaders Delhi A on top of the team standings after the third round of the LG West Bengal Inter-State Championship being played at the par-72 Royal Calcutta Golf Club.
Lohan and Manav returned cards of two-under 70 to help their team total four-under for the day. With a tournament total of three-over, they were tied for the lead with the team of Gagan Verma and Rashid Khan who carded rounds of 74 and 72 respectively.
Ashbeer Saini and Angad Cheema from Punjab moved to the third spot with both players carding a level-par round but were still 10 shots behind the leaders.
In individual standings, Rashid Khan still led with a round of even-par 72. At three-under for the tournament, he is four clear of Das, who jumped up five spots to be second on the leaderboard.
Lohan and Saurabh Bahuguna shared third place at five-over for the tournament with Moin Malak one shot further back in fifth place.
While Rashid has put himself in contention for his fifth title this season on the LG Amateur Tour, he will have to ward off the challenge from the nearest challengers, who have hit their stride going into the last round.
