London, Dec 17 (Inditop.com) Two 10-year-old boys were Thursday charged with raping an eight-year-old girl at a park in a west London suburb.
The alleged attack, which took place in Hayes in October, would make the two boys among the youngest ever charged with rape in Britain.
Police launched an investigation after the girl told her mother that she had been raped by the boys while they were playing unsupervised in the park.
The girl was interviewed by detectives from a London police wing specially trained in dealing with sex offences.
The two boys, who cannot be named for legal reason, are just over the age of criminal responsibility, which is set at 10 years.
