Auckland, Jan 6 (Inditop.com) India’s Sania Mirza crashed out of the second round of ASB tennis Classic with a 0-6, 3-6 loss to fourth-seeded Francesca Schiavone of Italy here Wednesday.
The world No.17 Italian proved too good for Sania, beating her for the fourth successive time, to enter the quarterfinals.
It was end of the road for Sania in the tournament as she is already out of the doubles race. She and her new doubles partner Virginia Pascual Tuesday went down in straight sets to Belgium’s Yanina Wickmayer and Slovak Dominika Cibulkova.
