Chandigarh, Feb 18 (Inditop.com) Income tax (IT) officials Thursday conducted raids on hotels, offices and other properties of a leading Chandigarh and Punjab-based hotel chain following a tip-off about tax evasion.
The IT officials raided properties of the K.C. Group, which has interests in hotels, restaurants and other businesses in Chandigarh, Panchkula (Haryana), Mohali and Nawanshahr (both in Punjab).
Records and other transaction documents of the businesses were verified and seized by the officials.
“We are still searching the records. Things will be known only after investigations are completed,” an IT official said.
