New Delhi, March 28 (Inditop.com) The craze to feature on reality shows and the instant fame and moolah that comes with it seems to be catching on in a big way. Over 2,000 aspirants from across the country gathered at the Laxman Public School here for the auditions for the third season of UTV Bindass’ reality show “Dadagiri”.

The winners will get a chance to experience the life of an army personnel.

The auditioning was schedule for 6 a.m. Saturday and despite being so early people from all over the country, including Agra and Bangalore, gathered here. Alber Louis, the man behind the show, says the glamour behind an army job attracted so much of a crowd.

“A lot of people consider an army job to be very glamorous but don’t know what exactly goes into the making of an army personnel. We will take these boys and girls and let them face various obstacles to test their endurance. The weaklings will be eliminated at every stage,” Louis told IANS.

The format is renamed “D3: Commando Force” and this time the format of the show, going on air May 8, will also be changed.

Such overwhelming response is not new. Early this month more than a dozen people were injured in a stampede during the audition for reality TV show “Indian Idol” at Noida’s Sector-62.

On March 10, thousands of boys and girls had lined up outside Expo Mart in Sector-62, Noida, to audition for “Indian Idol”. When the gates opened, they made a mad rush for the entrance triggering a stampede.

The 60 bouncers and 15 policemen who were deployed at the spot could do little to contain the crowd.
