Kolkata, April 2 (Inditop.com) With Kolkata Knight Riders back to their winning ways after an emphatic victory over the Deccan Chargers, Kolkata and the hallowed Eden Gardens partied late into the night.
The historic Eden Gardens resembled more than a cricket stadium. With an IPL ticket being advertised as “sabse bada ticket”, one not only got to watch an exciting Twenty20 cricket match here Thursday but also entered the ‘party zone’ with DJ’S and loud music!
The scenario was no different Thursday when the Knights fought gallantly with their general ‘Dada’ alias Sourav Ganguly leading the victory march with a blistering 88 off 54 balls against defending champions Deccan Chargers.
The Big Bash had begun almost one-and-a-half hours before the start of the crucial match, with the DJ on the house playing rocking chartbusters from We will Rock You’ to ‘Marjani!’ And every time the Knight Riders Anthem, Korbo Lorbo Jitbo re’ hit the ears of the almost packed crowd, the cheer engulfed the Mecca of Cricket completely.
And the cheerleaders got such an overwhelming reception! Whistles flew in from every hook and corner of the ground, no less than what The Prince of Kolkata and Chris Gayle got when they came out to bat.
“This is my first time at the Eden Gardens and I’m loving every bit of it. To be very honest, the addition of the cheerleaders is what makes the IPL so spicy and hot!” yelled a candid college goer.
“The IPL ticket is truly one to die for, dude. If you want T20 cum night club experience, this is the place to be. Cheerleaders make the climate hotter!” admitted a smiling 24-year-old youth.
“Dada is back. That is the best of today’s match. Paisa wasool totally. Dadagiri is here to stay! Joy Dada…,” screamed a bunch of excited office goers, all in their late 20’s or early 30’s maybe.
