Bogota, April 6 (Inditop.com/EFE) At least 21 people were killed when a bus plunged into a ravine in Colombia, officials have said.
The accident occurred Sunday about 78 km east of Medellin, capital of Colombia’s northwestern province of Antioquia, an official said Monday.
Five people were injured in the accident.
The bus, which was on its way from Puerto Nare to Medellin, went off the highway at La Josefina.
“The tally we have is 21 dead and five injured,” the official said.
The accident was caused by a combination of human error and mechanical failure, Gen. Rodolfo Palomino, highway patrol director told reporters in Bogota.
