Ranchi, April 13 (Inditop.com) Maoist guerrillas slit the throat of a person in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district accusing him of collecting levy in the name of the Communist Party of India-Maoist, police said Tuesday.

The man’s body was found near Kharichatar village of Bokaro, around 145 km from Ranchi, Tuesday morning. The man is yet to be identified.

“The person’s hands and legs were tied and his throat was slit. The Maoists left a pamphlet near the body saying that the person was collecting levy in their name,” a police officer told Inditop.

According to police, the pamphlet said: “Any person collecting money in the name of CPI-Maoist will meet the same fate.”
