New Delhi, July 2 (IANS) The second generation (2G) spectrum allocation case trial resumed in a special court here Monday after a gap of three weeks.

The proceedings were adjourned soon after start as witness Aseela Goenka, wife of accused Vinod Goenka, failed to appear in court due to her mother’s poor health.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Judge O.P. Saini allowed an application of Aseela Goenka seeking exemption from personal appearance.
Former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura and five other accused in the case, allowed to go abroad in June, submitted their passports.
The court May 30 allowed Behura, Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Balwa and co-promoter Vinod Goenka, Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables director Asif Balwa, Cineyug Films director Karim Morani and Unitech’s managing director Sanjay Chandra to go abroad.
