New Delhi, March 3 (IANS) The government Tuesday said that the state-run Airports Authority of India (AAI) had developed 49 non-metro airports so far.
According to Minister of State (MoS) for Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma, AAI had identified 63 non-metro airports for development. The AAI has so far completed development work on 49 airports.
“The AAI has identified 35 non-metro airports initially and 28 more non-metro airports subsequently for development,” the minister said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
“Out of these, AAI has so far completed the work at 49 airports.”
