New Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS) The Premier of South Australia province Mike Rann Monday offered Australia’s expertise on non-conventional energy to Delhi during his meeting with Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit here.
Accompanied by a delegation of six officials, Rann discussed a host of issues with Dikshit and said that out of Australia’s total energy supply, 20 percent is being procured from wind energy sources, a Delhi government statement said.
He further said that his country would like to provide all information and technology in the field of non-conventional energy, including solar and wind energy.
Rann also told Dikshit that South Australia, along with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has agreed to set up a water institute in Delhi with an aim to conserve water and reduce its wastage.
