Mumbai, June 2 (IANS) Austrian Airlines has added Mumbai to its global route network and will operate five direct flights a week to Vienna from Oct 31, an official of the carrier said Wednesday.
the airline will also operate an additional flight from New Delhi.
The additions to airline’s schedule have come after it became a member of the Lufthansa Passenger Airline Group recently.
Austrian Airlines’ services to Mumbai were withdrawn last year after the worlwide slump in aviation industry, the official said.
With a flying time of 8.40 hours, the airline offers convenient connections onward to 104 destinations in Europe, besides US and Canada from Vienna, the official said.
The flights from Mumbai are scheduled on all Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and in the return direction on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The official said New Delhi, which already has five flights a week, will get an additional service to Vienna from Oct 31.
