Kolkata, Oct 29 (Inditop.com) Public sector company Balmer Lawrie posted a net profit of Rs.26.37 crore for the quarter ended Sep 30, compared to Rs.25.73 crore it earned during the corresponding period a year ago, a company statement said here Thursday.
“The manufacturing businesses of the company achieved higher physical volumes and greater profitability on lower input cost,” the statement said.
“The service businesses of the company were, however, adversely affected both in turnover and profits arising from declining EXIM trade and lower air travel business in the country,” it added.
