New Delhi, Sep 6 (IANS) Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Monday said its subsidiary Chennai Petroleum Corporation is at an advance stage of completing a project to meet diesel fuel quality and other specifications under the Euro IV emission norms.

‘A project is being implemented at the Manali refinery for meeting the fuel quality specifications of motor speed and high speed diesel,’ said B.M Bansal, chairman, IOC, to the company’s shareholders at its 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) here.

IOC has invested Rs.2,615 crore on the project.

The company also proposed to start a Residue Upgradation Project at a cost of Rs.3,000 crore. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
