New Delhi, Sep 29 (IANS) The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Thursday introduced state-of-the-art mechanical sweeping machines for the capital’s roads.
‘Mechanical sweepers will cover a total of 900 km of roads in a given area,’ Delhi Mayor Rajni Abbi said.
‘The machines are eco-friendly in nature,’ she added.
The civic agency will deploy six such machines in various areas of south, west and north Delhi on roads with a width of over 100 feet.
