Mumbai, Oct 28 (Inditop.com) Software services major HCL Technologies Wednesday said net profit for the quarter ended Sep 30 went up 18.5 percent to Rs.300.75 crore from the like quarter in the previous fiscal.
Total income for the company increased 5.67 percent to Rs.1,295 crore for the first quarter of the company’s accounting calendar, up from Rs.1,225 crore it logged in the previous corresponding quarter, the company said in a regulatory statement.
HCL said it bore a forex loss of Rs.151 crore during the period under review compared to Rs.80 crore in the like quarter last year.
Earnings per share stood at Rs.4.49 per equity share, up from Rs.3.8 per share in the like quarter previous year.
The board of directors of the company declared an interim dividend of Rs.1 per equity share.
The HCL scrip was up 2.94 percent at Rs.329, higher than its previous close of Rs.319.60.
