New Delhi, Nov 27 (Inditop.com) A heavy rush is expected on the last day of the Indian International Trade Fair (IITF) Friday, organisers said.
The trade fair attracts large crowds on the last day as exhibitors slash rates of items in order to sell them before they leave. The Nov 14-27 trade fair is being held at Pragati Maidan.
“Generally the last day of IITF draws large crowds and we have made all necessary arrangements to handle the rush,” an organising official said.
The IITF drew 90,000 people Thursday as people came in large numbers to do last minute shopping.
“We have brought down the rates of all items by 20 to 25 percent in order to sell them as there is no use carrying them back home. As the day progresses the rates will be down further,” said Asif Khan, a trader in Pakistan Pavilion.
Expecting large crowds, Delhi Police have restricted the sale of trade fair tickets till 2 p.m. and entry into Pragati Maidan will be stopped by 4 p.m.
