New Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS) Two-wheeler major Hero MotoCorp Limited — the new brand identity of Hero Honda Monday reported a 14.82 percent increase in its sales for July – at 4,91,036 units against 4,27,686 units in the like period of 2010.
‘The good numbers of July ’11 have come about despite constraints on supply from our Haridwar plant due to ‘Kawar’ movement in the region during the month,’ said Anil Dua, senior vice-president (marketing and sales), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.
According to Dua, the company has crossed the two million mark in the first four months of this fiscal.
The company’s total cumulative sales in the first quarter grew at 21.6 percent at 20,20,613 units compared to 16,61,725 units in the corresponding period of 2010-11.
Dua further said the company will launch its new identity and other products in the coming days.
‘We are looking to ride our current buoyancy into the festive season by launching our new identity, innovative products and engaging campaigns,’ he added.
The company will unveil its new global brand identity in London on Aug 9.
