Shimla, Feb 18 (Inditop.com) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal will present the state’s annual budget for 2010-11 in the assembly March 9, an official said Thursday.
“The chief minister will present the budget in the Vidhan Sabha March 9,” a government spokesperson said.
The budget session which will be held from March 2 to April 13 will have 26 sittings, including three days for private members’ bills.
Dhumal, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present his eighth budget.
In his previous tenure as chief minister from 1998 to 2003, the Bharatiya Janata Party leader had presented five budgets.
Himachal Pradesh’s economy is largely dependent on horticulture, hydroelectric power and tourism.
