Shimla, Dec 4 (Inditop.com) The Himachal Pradesh government has restrained pharmaceutical firm Fizikem Laboratories from using the trademark Beplex Forte tablets that is similar to an Anglo-French’s brand product.

“Acting on the direction of a district court in Bangalore, we have asked Baddi-based Fizikem Laboratories not to use the trademark Beplex Forte tablets,” a government official said.

The Drug Controller and Licensing Authority at Baddi, some 75 km from state capital Shimla, has suspended the licence of the product in respect of the brand name till further orders.

An official of Anglo-French Drugs and Industries, Subbrayalu said: “We have got a temporary order from the Bangalore city civil and session judge, which disallows Fizikem Laboratories from using the trade name which is similar to our company’s brand name.”
