New Delhi, Jan 28 (IANS) Chinese information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider Huawei on Thursday launched Honor 5X and Holly 2 Plus smartphones in the Indian market.

Honor 5X will be available in three colours – gold, silver and grey — for Rs.12,999 and Holly 2 Plus will be available in black, white and gold colours for Rs.8,499.
“With these continued series of launches, we would like to reiterate our commitment to the Indian market and would continue to strive to offer world class consumer experience which address local needs of our consumers,” George Zhao, president (Honor), said in a statement.

Honor 5X is a dual-sim phone powered by a rim-free touch fingerprint sensor and has a metallic body with nano-SIM, micro-SIM, and microSD card slots. It has a 5.5-inch high-definition display and is powered by T6735 4×1.3GHz processor.
The phone is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras and is backed by a powerful 3,000mAh battery. It runs on Android 5.1+ HUAWEI EMUI 3.1 Lite.
The phone boasts of 2G RAM and 16GB in-built memory.
Holly 2 Plus offers a 4,000 mAH battery with a reverse charging to share your power with your friend via Micro-B USB to Micro-B USB cable.
The device also has 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras and offers 16GB internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.
It runs on a 64-bit high-speed processor and 2G RAM offer consumers more power.
The Honor 5X and Holly 2 Plus are available for pre-orders at e-commerce websites Flipkart and Amazon. The sale of Honor 5X will commence from February 1 and Holly 2 Plus from February 15.
