Bangalore, May 16 (Inditop) Infosys Technologies co-chairman Nandan M. Nilekani termed the verdict of the 15th Lok Sabha elections “decisive” Saturday and said it was a signal from people to the government to go for “bold reforms”.

“It is a decisive verdict. The message from the people is that the new government should go for bold reforms,” Nilekani said to a national news channel.

Counting trends available till around noon indicated that the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) was heading for victory.

“I think for the first time you will have a government without ideological barriers. In other words, all the supporting allies have no ideological disputes with the Congress. It is more about seats and portfolios. There will be no shackles for reforms,” Nilekani added.
