Mumbai, May 17 (Inditop.com) Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Monday said its net profit grew by 44 percent to Rs.1,438.10 crore for January-March quarter of 2009-10 from Rs.998.52 crore in the same period a year ago.
The company’s total income increased 28.4 percent to Rs.13,914.94 crore from Rs.10,840.54 crore in the same quarter of the last fiscal.
Its profit after tax for 2009-10 stood at Rs.4,375.52 crore as compared to Rs.3,481.66 crore in previous fiscal, registering a jump of 25.7 percent.
The total income grew by 9.4 percent from Rs.34,678.32 crore for the year ended March 2009 to Rs 37,945.05 crore for the year ended March 2010.
The company’s consolidated net profit went up around 44 percent to Rs.5,450.74 crore in 2009-10 from Rs.3,789.46 crore in 2008-09.
The group’s total income grew by around nine percent to Rs.44,729.43 crore from Rs.41,086.72 crore a year ago.
