umbai, May 5 (Inditop) Indian equities markets fell marginally after the opening bell Tuesday, with a key index ruling 85.30 points lower than its last closing figure.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 12,159.74 points, higher than its 12,134.75 points close Monday. After about 10 minutes of trading, it was at 12,049.45 points, 0.7 percent or 85.30 points lower than its previous close.
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was at 3,642.05 points, 0.33 percent lower than its previous close.
Broader indices were also ruling in the negative, with the BSE midcap index down 0.88 percent, and the BSE smallcap index ruling 1.03 percent lower than its previous close.
