Mumbai, May 26 (Inditop) Indian equities markets ended trade in the red Tuesday, with a key index closing 324 points lower than its previous close.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 13,929.84 points, fell 323.85 points or 2.33 percent to close at 13,589.37 points.
The S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) followed the Sensex to end in the red, losing 3.06 percent to close at 4,107.7 points.
Broader market indices also moved south, with the BSE midcap index ending trade 3.21 percent down, and the BSE smallcap index shedding 2.81 percent.
