Mumbai, April 24 (Inditop) Indian equities markets opened in the green Friday, with a key index trading 33 points above its last closing figure.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 11,149.47 points, higher than its 11,134.99 points close Thursday. After about 10 minutes of trading, it was at 11,168.56 points, 0.3 percent or 33.57 points higher than its previous close.

Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was at 3,427.2 points, 0.1 percent higher than its previous close.

The BSE midcap index was up 0.74 percent, while the BSE smallcap index was ruling 0.85 percent higher than its previous close.
