Mumbai, April 22 (Inditop) Indian equities markets started in the green Wednesday. Within 10 minutes of the opening, a key index was ruling 102.25 points higher than its last closing figure.
The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 10,968.6 points, higher than its 10,892.27-point close Tuesday. After about 10 minutes of trading, it was at 11,000.36 points, 0.94 percent or 102.25 points higher than its previous close.
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was at 3,386.3 points, 0.62 percent higher than its previous close of 3,365.30 points.
The BSE midcap index was up 1.65 percent, while the BSE smallcap index was ruling 1.48 percent higher than its previous close.
